The foundation stone of DIET Sirmour at Nahan was laid on 1st July 1997 by the Honourable Cheif Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sh. Virbhadra Singh Ji. The purpose or role DIET is multifaceted. It shoulders responsibility not only of preparing teachers out of students but to monitor Primary and Elementary Education for its quality education. At present monitoring of SSA and RMSA at Distt. level is done by the Principal cum Distt. Project officer of the establishment
